Our Children and Families Ministry provides a safe, nurturing environment where every child knows how much God loves them.  All families are encouraged and supported in their own faith journey.

weekly opportunities

creation station

Join us each Sunday for Creation Station where we will do a Bible lesson, talk about how we can apply it to our own lives and have prayer time. Videos will be posted at 8:25am each Sunday in our Grove Families with Children Facebook group.


bedtime stories

A special guest reader will read one or two stories and we will end with a prayer. Published Mondays and Wednesdays at 7pm in the Grove Families with Children Facebook group.


small groups

This is a great place for kids to connect with each other and play games. Offered Tuesday evenings via Zoom. Bible study time is also offered via Zoom on Thursday evenings.

Sunday morning program during worship

preK

Children start in the preschool room with free play. They then participate in large group discussion, story and music, followed by crafts, snacks and creative activities.

 

elementary (k through 5th grade)

Children start in worship with parents. After 10 minutes, they are dismissed for large group discussion, story and music, followed by small group crafts and creative activities.


covid-19 precautions

Creation Station is now online at the Grove Families with Children Facebook Group. It is anticipated that online ministry will be available all year long. In the case of in person, socially distanced ministry, students will have to sign up ahead of time to attend, so that necessary precautions can be prepared. That sign up can be found on the Children's Ministry web page, when the time comes.

At these activities, children learn about their faith and take on new responsibilities including leading the Lord’s Prayer and serving communion.  Milestone families are blessed during worship and children are celebrated for taking a new step.

nursery & childcare

Sunday morning and weeknight

nursery care - 6 weeks through 2 years

Nursery care provided by a certified caregiver on Sunday mornings from 8:45 to 11:40am.  After signing in your child, you will receive a pager.

With a focus on the needs of busy families, during various weeknight meetings and groups, the church provides childcare so parents can fully participate.  


During this time, we do not offer nursery care or childcare.

summer kids' programs

Grasshopper in The Grove

This neighborhood story time is terrific for all ages. No registration is necessary, and there is no fee. Meet us in The Grove for stories, crafts, and playground fun.

Vacation Bible School

Children will experience art, story, worship, games, and crafts. VBS is held the first week of August.


Woodbury Preschool Summer Camps

The Grove offers camps each year for students who have preschool experience.  Snacks are included.
